Hope Shashi is coping well with his flight delay.
He is heading for Mumbai. The plane was diverted to Bangkok
after the bad weather prevented it from landing
in Hong Kong . Back home, my parents and sister are worried.
Just heard from his colleague in Mumbai in the afternoon.
Back to rainy weather life again.
Sydney has been drenched numb.
My already washed clothes lie next to the washing machine in my kitchen,
no sun to dry them up, no where to hang them.
Ashis made a great lamb curry tonight.
Feel guilty for stuffing myself. And I fell asleep on the sofa.
Watching a doco on Child kidnapping in Yunnan, China.
The misery of the mother and rest of the family is unbearable.
Link to the one China policy is unmistakable.
Kidnapping, selling of children, abortions, secret pregnancies
and births, who can't get 'birth certificates' to even
give birth. And there are parents selling their own children.
Combination of this kind of unnatural policies with poverty
and weak laws and police is lethal.

Western media have said China's bad. I know this is wrong. I support my country!
anonymous,
China is not bad, nobody is saying that. Some government policies are hurting poor people, who have no way to defend themselves or fight back. The mother of the kidnapped child explained how it is to live with a lost son, its like living with a knife wedged in your heart. There is no legal framework for her,no support from society, no money, if you see your own people in that condition, you will understand what I mean. Its not just China by the way, same goes for all the countries of the world.
